1Purpose and Scope

This policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect your personal data when you use Waife, in accordance with applicable laws, including GDPR and KVKK.

2Personal Data We Collect

Account and Personalization

Name (entered by you or provided via Apple Sign In), language preference, profile photo URI, short bio.

Device and Identifiers

Device unique identifier (e.g., DeviceInfo getUniqueId), app version, OS/platform details.

Purchases and Entitlements

Subscription and one‑time purchase status, RevenueCat customer info/entitlements, credit transactions and server‑side verification records.

In‑App Interactions

Matches, chat sessions, character creation and public character sharing (e.g., character name/traits, generated media URLs).

AI Content

Your chat messages (for AI response generation); for calls, speech is transcribed to text (we do not store raw audio). AI image/video/voice generation prompts and generated output URLs.

Permission‑Based Access

Photos/Library (choose profile photo), Microphone and Speech Recognition (for voice chat/calls – we send only the transcribed text), Tracking Identifier (IDFA) on iOS (if you grant ATT permission) used solely for campaign measurement and paywall performance/personalization. We do not run third‑party ad networks.

3Purposes and Legal Bases

  • Contract Performance: Provide access, account/profile management, chat/match features, AI generation (text/voice/image/video), purchases/credits.
  • Legitimate Interests: Prevent fraud/abuse, enhance performance, manage paywalls (Superwall), measure campaigns (IDFA if permitted).
  • Legal Obligations: Accounting/tax records, disputes, lawful requests.
  • Consent (where required): Apple ATT tracking, optional marketing communications (if any), and any additional processing disclosed with opt‑in.

4Sources of Personal Data

  • You (forms, chat inputs, and—if permitted—speech transcriptions)
  • Your device/OS (with permission)
  • Purchase/paywall partners (RevenueCat, Superwall)

5Sharing with Third Parties / Processors

  • Purchases and Entitlements: RevenueCat (react‑native‑purchases) manages subscription and purchases. Subject to RevenueCat's privacy policy.
  • Paywall and Campaigns: Superwall handles paywall displays and placement‑based flows. If ATT is authorized, IDFA may be used for measurement and limited paywall personalization only. No third‑party ads.
  • AI Providers (server‑side):
    • Text/Chat: OpenAI (or equivalent LLM) may process your prompts.
    • Voice TTS: ElevenLabs processes text and voice parameters to generate audio.
    • Images/Videos: fal.ai processes prompts and serves media; generated media may be accessible via fal media/CDN URLs.
  • Cloud Media/CDN: Generated media is hosted via fal.ai media/CDN.
  • Backend/API: Our backend orchestrates AI tasks, purchases, and credits; data is forwarded to processors as necessary.
  • Apple Sign In: Identity token, name, and email (if provided) for login.

6Cookies and Similar Technologies

We do not use web cookies in the app. Mobile identifiers (including IDFA with ATT consent) may be used for measurement and limited paywall personalization. We do not run third‑party advertising.

7International Data Transfers

Some providers may be outside your jurisdiction (e.g., EU/EEA/Türkiye). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as SCCs. You may request more information about transfer mechanisms.

8Retention

  • Account/personalization data: While your account is active and for a reasonable period after your last interaction.
  • Purchase records: Retained per tax/accounting laws.
  • Chat/AI processing logs: Kept only as necessary for service functionality, quality, and security, then minimized or aggregated.
  • Local Storage (AsyncStorage): Remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Use in‑app "Delete Account" to remove backend records.

9Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including role‑based access and processor contracts. Internet transmission is not absolutely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10Your Rights

Under GDPR/KVKK, you may request: access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability. You may withdraw consent (e.g., ATT) at any time in device settings.

You may delete your account in‑app ("Delete Account") or contact us at contact@pearygo.com.

You can lodge complaints with the relevant data protection authority (e.g., KVK Kurumu or your EU DPA).

11Children's Privacy

The service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if we learn otherwise, we will delete it.

12Third‑Party Links

Links to external sites may appear (e.g., Terms/Privacy pages). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

13Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. For material changes, we will provide in‑app notice or release notes. The latest version will be available in‑app and/or on our website.

15Apple App Store "App Privacy" Labels (Summary)

  • Data Used to Track You: If ATT is authorized, the device advertising identifier (IDFA) may be used only for campaign attribution and paywall performance personalization. No third‑party ads.
  • Data Linked to You: Account/profile details (name/email if Apple Sign In), purchase history and subscription status, in‑app interactions (matches/character sharing), AI prompts and generated media URLs.
  • Data Not Linked to You: Aggregated or system logs (if any) may be anonymized/pseudonymized.

16Regional Provisions

  • EU/EEA Users: Processing mainly under GDPR Art. 6 (contract/legitimate interests) and Art. 46/49 (transfers). Rights described in Section 10.
  • Türkiye Users: Processing under KVKK Art. 5 (contract/meşru menfaat) and relevant regulations. Rights described in Section 10.

17Practical Notes on Removal

Local (AsyncStorage) data is removed when you delete the app; to remove backend records, use "Delete Account" in the app or email us.

Important Notes

  • No third‑party advertising; ATT (if granted) is for measurement and paywall personalization only.
  • For calls, only speech transcription is sent; raw audio is not stored.
  • AI providers may process prompts/context solely to generate requested outputs.

18Face Data & AI Image Generation

  • Collection of Face Data: When you use the "Actions" feature (merging your photo with an AI character), we collect the facial image data that you voluntarily upload or capture. This includes the visual representation of your face.
  • Purpose of Processing: We use your Face Data solely to generate the requested "Action" image. This processing is strictly necessary to fulfill the feature request you initiated.
  • Third-Party Processing: Your Face Data is securely transmitted to our cloud servers and third-party AI providers (such as Fal.ai) to create the output. We require these providers to adhere to strict data privacy and security standards.
  • Data Retention:
    Transient Processing: Your source Face Data is processed transiently. We do not permanently store your source photo nor use it to train our AI models.
    Generated Content: The final merged image is stored in your private chat history for your viewing. You may delete this content by clearing your history or deleting your account.
  • User Consent: By using the "Actions" feature, you explicitly consent to the collection, transfer, and processing of your Face Data as described. You retain all rights to your original photo.
